This past Friday, the energy was electric as BGCD hosted the initial Teen Takeover event in partnership with our friends at the West End House BGC and BGC of Boston. Over 150 teens poured in for an unforgettable NYC-themed celebration that transformed our space into a city that never sleeps. Teens had fun with inflatables, posed for Caricature Artists, took part in lawn games, decorated the graffiti board, ate popcorn, cotton candy and slush, as well as enjoyed dinner from a Taco Truck! Part of our Safe Summer Streets, supported by the Department of Conservation & Recreation’s Summer Nights and the Boston Police Department’s Bureau of Community Engagement, these nights bring teens together to engage with peers across the city in a safe, fun environment with caring adults.
