DORCHESTER, MA — BGCD opened up its doors to host a lively block party event to kick off our Safe Summer Streets program. The Safe Summer Streets program has been happening in Dorchester since the summer of 1990. The goal of the program is to keep teens in Dorchester safe and productive during the summer months when they are most vulnerable.
The block party featured a chance for teens to register for summer programs, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, free food, t-shirts, giveaways and tons of other fun activities.
