The Hometown Heroes Leadership Council is a group of committed, likeminded, and energetic volunteers who actively contribute to Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester through their time, talents, ties, and testimony. They bring the Hometown Heroes Network together, engage in the Club community, and help create a stronger network that supports the needs of our Dorchester Club Kids and families.
The Hometown Heroes Leadership Council is an evolution of the committed volunteerism and generosity started by BGCD’s Young Professionals Board.
It extends the invitation to step up and lead, regardless of age. It creates space for parents, alumni, neighbors, and friends who want to share their experiences and networks toward building a stronger base of BGCD supporters.
As the Hometown Heroes Network grows, the Leadership Council will welcome peers to the Club community and help define new ways to engage supporters, without losing the special emhpasis on networking and volunteerism locally.
