Our members had an amazing summer at Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester that culminated with an unforgettable week at Camp Northbound in Bridgton, Maine! BGCD is thrilled to share all the fun kids and staff had as we celebrated our 18th year of Camp Northbound!
Many of our members experienced Camp for the first time and made friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
Throughout the week our members enjoyed swimming, arts & crafts, ninja warrior obstacle courses, tubing and so much more.
Members who attended camp were divided into two groups and took part in a friendly color war competition between the Blue Team and Green Team. Color War is a series of team challenges to win it all, including bragging rights – Congratulations to this year’s winners: Blue Team!
There were also other special events including a talent show, a dance and the popular gatherings around the campfire for everyone to relax after a long day. Camp Northbound is the highlight of the summer for so many kids who attend BGCD!
Camp Northbound is such a special time for our Club members! It is time spent away from the City and to unplug before heading back to school. The staff make sure each day is filled with fun activities and new experiences to share with their friends.
Thank you to our partners at Camp Micah and the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation for giving our youth at BGCD an unforgettable end of the summer and memories to last a lifetime!
